Whale Watching
Southern right whales come to the shores of the Cape Whale Coast from June to November each year to mate and give birth in the shallow waters. Bryde's whales can be seen all year round, and humpback whales pass through between June and November on their way to the warmer waters of Mozambique.
Thanks to the excellent viewpoints provided by the cliff path along Walker Bay, the region has gained a reputation for offering the best land-based whale watching in the world.

Cliff Path
The Hermanus Cliff Path, the crown jewel of Hermanus, invites adventurers and nature enthusiasts alike to embark on a 12 km scenic odyssey. Stretching from the New Harbour to the Klein River estuary, this coastal walk is a must-see masterpiece. During whale season (June to December), the area transforms into a theatre of marine marvels, offering glimpses of whales in various locations along the route.
